Our Family Christmas Picture

Welcome to my world

Hello, we are the Wastchak family from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and this is our website. The year is 2008 and we have lots to be thankful for. Its been almost 4 years since we got married on September 4th, 2004 and we started our life together in a little town house in Plum. We were doing the normal church--life--work thing and then the day after Christmas, BAAM, life changed a lot! This was when we found out we were about to be parents and let me tell you, that was a scary thought at the time (just ask Jennie who cried about the first week after we found out). And so the story began...

Charlee and Uncle Jeff

Our daughter, Charlee Alexis, was born on September 9th, 2005 (yes, almost exactly a year after we got married). After a scary delivery and a few months of worrying that she was not eating enough, things got back to normal around our house. Somewhere along the line we decided that life was too easy and decided to try for another child. Then one day, BAAM, yup life changed again. God must really think we are great parents because He really didn't waste any time in giving us our second child. We soon found out it was going to be a boy and suddenly the thoughts of throwing baseball, catching football, etc. starting filling my mind and I just could not wait...

Ah, Eli the Explorer

Our son, Elijah Nicolas, was born on May 5th, 2007 (everyone says 18-20 months apart is good, right?). This time delivery was quick and easy (mostly because I think my wife decided she wasn't going to repeat the last one). It only seems fit that after 15 mins, our 9lb 14oz bundle of joy was in our arms (yes, he was almost 10 pounds!!! Breathe...Ok continue). From day one, Charlee decided this was her baby (she even named her favorite baby Eli...check back in a few years and see if she has changed the name yet). So for us (Ok, maybe just Jennie), back to the midnight feedings, nap-time fights, bottles, and baby food (among many many other things).

So our days (and nights) are filled with new memories shared with our children. Each of our kids are unique in their own right, but both are just the sweetest and most adorable kids ever! (I mean I am not biased or anything) Charlee is currently potty training (and when I say that I mean she is training us in how NOT to potty train your kids). She has the pee thing down, but #2 is not such an easy task. Eli is everywhere and is starting to think seriously about learning how to walk (oh how fun that will be). Seriously, in one Saturday afternoon, he dumped a half full can of beer (not mine of course) on himself, then spilt coffee all over the place (don't worry, it wasn't hot), and topped it all off by dumping mommy's coffee onto our freshly cleaned (by this point) carpet. I learn new life lessons everyday with these little blessings. They really do change your aspect on life...no doubt!

Oh, and most importantly, God. God is 'da man for sure! Our life has just been awesome and there is only one person to thank for that. He has ALWAYS been faithful to us and always blessed us beyond our wildest dreams. The least we can do is be active and involved in church, right? Oh ya, well we decided why not just try to do everything (exagerating just a bit). I am a Trustee (have been since 2004) and Jennie is a member of our Praise Band. I also am in charge of sound and media for services and events and such, and Jennie is the acting nursery coordinator. We also help out in cleaning the church once a month. This basically means that we are always busy when we are at church (and WE LOVE every minute of it!). Seriously though, you shoudl come check us out sometime at Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Penn Hills. Come find out just how great of a God we ALL have.

Don't be a stranger. Drop us a line!

We always like to hear from those who we have fallen out of touch with. Don't be a stranger, drop us a line.
